Doing, thinking by hands is what is in question in Markku Salo's work.
Play, chance and search are his central tools, and
the salt of the work is creating something new on the basis of traditional
glass manufacturing techniques. Working in the oldest glass village
in Finland at Nuutajärvi and its strong traditions
in glass know-how serve as a significant stimulus for a glass art
designer. |
